Step 1: Gather Your Materials

Working with your monthly delivery from Enjoy Flowers, make sure you start by gathering all your materials. You’ll need: two plastic twist ties, a sharp pair of scissors, two round metallic vases (the silver compliments the cool colors of the bouquets for a fresh look), and of course a packet of flower food powder.

Step 2: Remove The Bottom Leaves From Each Stem

It’s important to remove all the bottom leaves from each stem to prolong the freshness of your bouquets. Any leaves that get submerged in the vase water can contribute to bacterial growth and decrease the shelf life of your flowers.

Step 3: Prepare Your Vases With Water

Pour water into your two vases and add flower food powder to each vase. If you don’t have a packet of flower food powder, you can use an alternative to keep bacteria out of the water. Try a few splashes of apple cider vinegar or a mixture of bleach, sugar and lemon.

Step 4: Gather The Green Mini Pompons, White Hydrangeas and Green Disbud Together

Start by holding several stems of the green mini pompons in your hand and spiral (rotate the arrangement in your hand occasionally as you add additional stems) the white hydrangeas and green disbud into the bouquet.

Step 5: Add White Mini Pompons, Snap Dragon, Molucella and Yellow Disbud Stems

Add several stems of white mini pompons, snap dragon nad molucella to your bouquet. Add one yellow disbud to the side of each bouquet for a bright pop of color that draws the eye into the texture of the arrangement.

Step 6: Fasten Your Bouquets Together with a Twist Tie

Now, secure your flowers with a twist tie. Simply hold the finished bouquet in one hand and secure the twist tie on the stems about one to two inches below your flowers.

Step 7: Cut the Stems to Fit Your Round Vases

Now that each bouquet is tied together, it’s time to cut the length off the stems so they will fit perfectly in your round vases. Use your vases as a guide to measure where to cut the stems. Remember, it’s easier to cut more of the stem off later so if you’re not sure, start with a longer length and reduce from there.

Step 8: Place Your Fresh Spring Bouquets in Vases

It’s time to place each bouquet in its own round vase. These arrangements are so fresh, you’ll be saying “ahhh” every time you look at them!
